KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Dudley the cow is back home in east Tennessee. The Gentle Barn rescued Dudley after he lost a foot in an accident. Since receiving a prosthetic foot, he's gone through rehab and living at the Gentle Barn's Knoxville location.
"Dudley is doing amazing, his prosthesis really fits, it's very comfortable, our daily checks are not seeing any rubbing or any blistering, the leg is in fantastic shape and he can run and jump in the pasture like a 'normal' cow," says founder of Gentle Barn, Ellie Laks.
The Knoxville location is set to have a grand opening Saturday, June 6th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dudley is living at the barn with three horses, a rooster and a hen. Laks plans to rescue more animals, including at least one cow friend for Dudley.
