KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It's no secret East Tennesseans love their MoonPie, especially since they are made down Interstate 75 in Chattanooga.

The University of Tennessee served up the "World's Largest MoonPie" during a Homecoming event Saturday.

The desert weighed more than 50 pounds, had 14 pounds of marshmallow and six pounds of chocolate, and contained more than 45,000 calories.

It could have fed up to 400 people.

It was a hit! Folks gobbled up about a third of the pie in less than ten minutes.
