(INSIDE EDITION) -- A mother is brought to tears when her dying daughter's pre-school teacher offers to donate her kidney.
Dena Carryen learned her four-year-old daughter Lyla suffered from a rare autoimmune condition about a year ago. Since then, her family had been on desperate search for a living kidney donor to save the little girl.
After months of hospital visits, Dena's daughter's teacher, gave her the good news she'd been looking for. Beth Battista said she would donate her kidney to the child with a note that read, "I may just be her teacher now, but soon a little piece of me will be with Lyla forever."
