WHAT TO EXPECT
Scattered rain is moving through at times today, ranging from about 20% to about 60% at times, so keep that umbrella handy! We’re still above average, with a high of 56 degrees, with a southwesterly wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight becomes rainy, with a wave of moderate to heavy rain reaching most of our area, and isolated thunder is possible. We’ll drop to around 53 degrees early, but warm to the upper 50s by the morning.
LOOKING AHEAD
Saturday is downright soggy, with that morning wave of moderate to heavy rain, then waves of light to moderate rain throughout the day, keeping us with an 80% coverage most of the day. We’ll hover in the low 60s Saturday, then a wave of widespread moderate to heavy rain, and some storms, soaks us all Saturday night to Sunday morning. Overall, we’ll see about 1″ to 1.5″ of rain with some spots getting up to 2″.
Sunday starts out rainy, but it’s moving out and leaving you with a mostly cloudy day. An isolated shower could develop, but it’s dry most of the day with a high of 61 degrees.
A cold front’s rain moves in Sunday evening, bringing batches of rain and some rumbles of thunder at times into Monday. We’ll still be warm Monday afternoon at 61 degrees, but with gusts up to 40 mph. Then winds shift and colder air moves in!
In your First Alert 8-Day Planner, Tuesday starts with a few flurries in the higher elevations to mountain snow showers, as the clouds exit and the chill returns. We’ll be around 48 degrees. We’re looking to have freezing mornings and afternoons in the low to mid 50s the rest of next week.
