Clearing and cooler, with wind chills today

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A cold front leaves us with wind chills today, but at least the sky is clearing. We’ll have some cold mornings but mild afternoons, before another cold front moves in to end the week.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The last of the showers is spotty snowfall for the higher elevations this morning. We’re all feeling the colder air blowing into town, with low 30s on the Plateau and Knoxville dropping to around 37 degrees but it feels colder! We have a northwesterly wind around 15 mph this morning.
We have an ongoing chilly breeze today, but it’s gradually decreasing to around 5 mph for the afternoon. At least it’s a sunny afternoon, but we’re just below average with a high of 50 degrees today.
Tonight is all clear and calm, so a frosty start to Wednesday with a low of 32 degrees in Knoxville.
LOOKING AHEAD
Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, is a nice afternoon and impressive climb to 57 degrees. The evening is chilly though, with that ongoing clear sky and cold nights.
Thursday is mostly sunny and around 60 degrees, but we’ll have more clouds around Thursday night into Friday with a stray showers.
