Man allegedly seen dragging body through apartment complex
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) - A Tennessee man is in custody after he was allegedly seen dragging a body through an apartment complex on Wednesday.
According to the arrest affidavit, a maintenance worker observed a 38-year-old Dominic Collier dragging what appeared to be a body wrapped in blankets down several flights of stairs and then down a hill outside of the complex.
A resident at the complex saw Collier push the body into a rain culvert, according to the affidavit.
A photo was taken of the incident and shown to police.
Metro Nashville Police Department confronted Collier at his apartment and observed the clothes he was seen wearing in security footage draped over a chair in his dining room, according to the affidavit.
Collier was arrested and detectives interviewed his girlfriend.
Authorities retrieved the body and the victim is believed to be a man.
Collier was booked Thursday morning and faces abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and failure to report a body charges. He remains in custody on a $75,000 bond.
