SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains has announced locations across the county to pick-up seven-day meal kits for your kids.

There are no eligibility requirements for picking up free meals for kids under 18 all summer long.

The Boys and Girls Club has partnered with the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries and Sevier County Food Ministries to provide the meals. The meals provide shelf staple products that don’t need refrigeration like milk, cheese and proteins.

“We love these seven-day meal kits. They’re wonderful. They are providing meals to kids free, 18 and under. And they are so essential in this area. It’s a food dessert in many of our spots here in Sevier County,” Cathlyn Walter, Director of Nutrition and Support Services for the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains said. “It’s free to anyone, no questions asked, you can come. But, these days with food being so much more expensive and just difficult to get to a grocery store during your workday, this is a really great spot to come by, get some seven-day snacks for your kids and feel better about what’s going on this summer.”

The Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains is covering the cost of the meal kits through a grant.
