Missing North Carolina teen spotted in East Tennessee found safe in Missouri, police say
Authorities said Jenkins, along with his dog and truck, was found safe in Missouri on Monday.
KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. (WVLT) - Authorities in North Carolina were searching for a teen whose truck was seen in Harriman Sunday afternoon.
According to the Kill Devil Hills Police Department, 16-year-old Christian Jenkins left his home in Devil Hills, North Carolina on Saturday just after 3 p.m. in a brown truck with his dog.

KDHPD said Jenkins is described as being 5′11″ tall and 120 pounds with blonde hair, blue eyes and dental braces. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a green t-shirt.
Authorities said the truck he’s driving, a brown 2006 Ford F-350 with NC registration VA7196, was spotted in Haywood County, North Carolina at around 10:45 a.m. and again in Harriman at around 4:15 p.m.
The police department said on Monday that Jenkins, along with his dog and truck, was found safe in Missouri at around 12:30 p.m.
“The Kill Devil Hills Police Department would like to thank the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D Troopers and Communications for their assistance,” the department said.
