Kingston officers use drone to find runaway suspect, police say
Officers used a drone to find him after he ran into a large culvert that passes under the interstate.
KINGSTON, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Kingston Police Department said it used a drone to find a man after he ran away from officers Saturday afternoon.
KPD said they went to the Four Seasons Campground on Farmer Road shortly after 5 p.m. for a domestic disturbance. There, 48-year-old Timothy Faulk was “yelling and refused to cooperate with officers.”
While officers were trying to investigate the domestic incident, KPD said Faulk continued to be disorderly and ran away when officers tried to detain him.
According to KPD, Faulk ran into a large culvert that passed under the interstate, and after a search that also included the Roane County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol, officers found him using a drone and took him into custody.
Faulk was charged with domestic assault, resisting arrest, evading arrest, disorderly conduct and interference with an emergency call.
“The Kingston Police Department would like to thank the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Rockwood Police Department for their assistance,” KPD said.
