Tennessee football adds Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State to 2026 schedule
Yellow Jackets and Volunteers will play a home and home series in 2026 and 2027
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Three non-conference opponents for Tennessee football are now set for the 2026 season.
Matchups with Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State have now been added to the schedule. A game against Furman is also on the 2026 docket.
The matchup with the Yellow Jackets is part of a home-and-home series. The Volunteers will host Tech in 2027, making the trip to Atlanta in 2026.
Two non-conference opponents are now set for 2027. Tennessee will also host Western Michigan.
The Kennesaw State game marks a return to Neyland Stadium for former Tennessee running backs coach Jerry Mack, who coached under Josh Heupel from 2021 to 2023.
Tennessee and Georgia Tech have squared off 44 times, with the Vols leading the all-time series 25-17-2. It’s the first meeting in the series since 2017, when Tennessee won 42-41.
Tennessee and Kennesaw State have never met in football.
