KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Babalu, a Latin downtown Knoxville restaurant and staple of Gay Street, will be shutting its doors for good next month.
The business made the announcement Wednesday via social media, saying “we are deeply grateful for the memories, friendships, and meals we’ve shared with the Knoxville community.”
Babalu has been serving Knoxville for almost ten years. It’s the latest business to announce its closure, with Burger Boys and Landing House in South Knoxville also announcing closures.
Babalu will close on June 29.
