30 Days 30 Vols: #2 Peyton Lewis

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - As part of the countdown to kickoff for University of Tennessee football, WSMV is spending the month of August profiling 30 UT football players in ‘30 Days 30 Vols’. The segments air on WSMV’s 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. University of Tennessee Sophomore Running Back Peyton Lewis is #2 on the countdown.

He’s an electrifying running back with an elite track speed and a strong frame; he’s Peyton Lewis.

Lewis signed with the Vols as a four-star prospect and top-15 running back in the country. He’s played in 13 career games and looks to take off in 2025.

“Man, they love every factor about it.” That’s Lewis’ reaction when asked how his family feels about him running through the T each week.

“I used to take vacations here when I was younger; besides Florence, South Carolina, this was like a second home for me,” he said.

When it comes to his time off the field, Lewis said he likes to dabble in music.

“I like to play music. I play guitar, piano,” he said. “I used to play clarinet a long time ago, and my dad always put me on drums. That was the first instrument that I learned.”

He said he comes from a music family, so it’s no surprise he’s taken to so many instruments.

On the field, though, Lewis is expected to help the Vols bring home win after win.

30 Days 30 Vols is the latest offering in a newly announced partnership between University of Tennessee Athletics, the Vol Network and Gray Media, including WSMV (Nashville), WVLT (Knoxville) and WMC (Memphis), naming them as the Official Television Stations of the Tennessee Volunteers. The partnership is set to deliver more television coverage of Tennessee Athletics than ever before to local audiences. This partnership will cover the three largest markets in the Volunteer State through Gray’s newly-launched Tennessee Valley Sports Network, with plans to expand to Chattanooga and Jackson. TVSN will feature locally produced sports and entertainment content powered by WSMV, WVLT and WMC.
