One Knoxville SC could bring Covenant Health Park its first trophy
A win will mean One Knox is taking home the USL League One Players’ Shield, crowning the club as league champions for the first time in its four-year existence.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - One Knoxville Sporting Club, the Scruffy City’s No. 1-ranked professional soccer team, is just one win away from bringing the first ever trophy to Covenant Health Park. It all depends on Saturday’s matchup against No. 11 Greenville Triumph.
A win will mean One Knox is taking home the USL League One Players’ Shield, crowning the club as league champions for the first time in its four-year existence.
That’s not all. A win will also mean Knoxville plays host to not just the quarterfinal playoffs, but the semifinal and final games as well, if the team advances that far.
“This club was built for moments like this,” said Drew McKenna, One Knoxville’s Co-Founder. “To be on the brink of winning the league at home, in front of our supporters, is a testament to the belief and hard work of this entire community. We need Knoxville to show up on Saturday night and help push this team over the line. Let’s make Covenant Health Park a fortress for the playoffs.”
