OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) - An Oak Ridge man has been sentenced to 27 years behind bars after he sent child pornography to an undercover agent, according to the United States Department of Justice.

According to the DOJ, investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) were conducting an undercover operation into social media groups related to child exploitation.

During the operation, the DOJ said an agent was contacted by a user, later identified as 48-year-old Travis O’Neil Todd, who sent multiple pictures of child pornography.

Investigators found that Todd lived in Oak Ridge, and 26 videos and five images containing child pornography were found in his home as a result of a search warrant, the DOJ said.

Todd entered an agreement to plead guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession with access with intent to view child pornography. On Tuesday, the DOJ said he was sentenced to 27 years in jail.

After his release from jail, he will be on a lifetime supervised release and will be required to register with state sex offender registries and comply with special sex offender conditions.
