At this time, no one has been charged.
“No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation remains ongoing,” KPD’s Scott Erland said. “KPD Homicide Unit detectives have remained in communication with the Knox County District Attorney General’s Office. Once the case file is complete, it will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for further review.”
Erland said it’s believed the victim, 26-year-old Jouquon Jackson, had gotten into an argument with another person in the 2100 block of the road. Jackson was shot during the fight, and he later died at the University of Tennessee medical Center.
