Memphis police: Teen shot in the face at restaurant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WVLT/WREG) -- Memphis police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that occurred on July 7 at a Burger King on Hickory Hill.

According to CBS affiliate WREG, an 18-year-old woman was reportedly shot in the face outside of the restaurant.

The victim and two witnesses told investigators they were sitting in a silver Toyota Corolla when a woman, identified as Angela Ryan, suddenly opened fire. The victim was struck near her eye.

Ryan was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.

WREG reported that the police have not given a motive for the shooting, but a security guard said one of the people involved worked at the restaurant.

The victim is expected to be okay.
