SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Officials with the Department of Agriculture confirmed they were investigating the Skyland Ranch in Sevierville.

They received a livestock welfare complaint on Wednesday, according to Assistant Commissioner for Public Affairs Corinne Gould.

Owner Mark Williford told WVLT News the complaint was regarding their longhorns. He said investigators went to the ranch Thursday morning and looked at the feed and the area the longhorns were kept.

“They found absolutely nothing wrong. We treat our animals like kings,” Williford said.

WVLT News reached out to the Department of Agriculture who confirmed the investigation was open and ongoing ‘on their end.’

The $40 million attraction opened in November.
