TBI investigating deadly Cocke County house fire

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office are trying to determine what caused a deadly house fire in Cocke County.

It happened Friday at a house on Raines Road.

CCSO said dispatch received a call for the fire around 4 a.m. Firefighters quickly got the fire under control.

They did recover a body from the scene and sent it to the Knoxville Forensics Center for an autopsy and identification.

This is an ongoing investigation.
