KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee Director of Athletics Danny White has marked his first 100 days in that new role. The process of moving UT Athletics forward has included the hiring of new personnel, both on the field and in the front office.

It has also included helping guide the University through a dark time for the football program, one that includes an internal investigation into alleged wrongdoing and what is sure to be a subsequent NCAA probe.

Our media partner at Volquest.com Brent Hubbs spent some time with the AD discussing several key topics including the afore mentioned investigation. With regards to whether UT has completed its part in gathering information White answered, “It’s still on-going. We are trying to be extremely thorough. We want to be looked at as we move forward as an athletic department that has as much integrity as anybody. What we are not going to do is take a shortcut and leave one piece of information un-investigated for lack of a better word. We want to make sure we know everything that happened so we can be extremely straight forward with the NCAA.”

As for a timetable for resolving this issue White added, “It’s hard to say right now. There are still things we are learning as we go through it. What I can say is compared to other examples of NCAA violations we have seen in college sports, we want to move a lot faster. I think the University before my arrival did the right things involving an outside counsel that has great experience working with the NCAA, involving the NCAA from the jump so it doesn’t have to be re-investigated.”
