Driver killed in crash on N. Broadway Sunday, KPD says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on N. Broadway at around 4:30 P.M. on Sunday, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

Police said the crash happened between Haynes Place and Caswell Avenue on N. Broadway.

“The driver, an adult woman, sustained critical injuries in the crash and was transported to the UT Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival,” KPD said.

The investigation is ongoing and is led by KPD crash reconstruction personnel.
