Ansley Graves

Ansley Graves is an award-winning journalist who strives to provide the latest and most trustworthy coverage on WVLT’s online platforms and social media.

As a Georgia native and current Knoxvillian, Ansley attended the University of Tennessee, where she served as the Managing Editor and Digital Managing Editor for the University's newspaper, The Daily Beacon. It was there where she found her love for writing after winning multiple awards for her raw column writing and written journalism. With the help of her team, Ansley's leadership was recognized for the newspaper winning multiple first-place titles in student journalism honors, with the most notable being for the 'Best Newspaper in the South' and 'Third Best Newspaper in the Nation.' Additionally, Ansley spent time working with the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture where she focused on archival pieces and special exhibitions.

She graduated with honors and took home a degree in Journalism and Electronic Media in 2026 before bringing her passion for local storytelling directly to the WVLT Digital Content team.

In her free time, you can find Ansley working on her upcoming biography, spending time with her cat or enjoying Knoxville’s Scruffy City scene — always heavily caffeinated.
