LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Loudon County Sheriff's Office said a man has been charged with first degree murder following a shooting that occurred on August 20.
John Dixon Jr., 41, was charged with first degree murder and felon in possession of a handgun on August 21.
According to a release, Christopher Watson, 34, died from gunshot wounds after a shooting on Tinnel Lane.
On August 20, investigators took two people into custody in connection to the shooting after they were discovered on Martel Road. One of the suspects was Dixon. The other was an unnamed woman who investigators said was released and considered a witness to the crime.
Dixon's bond was set at $850,000.
