Loudon County native drowns at Bald River Falls, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - First responders and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team responded to a reported drowning at Bald River Falls Sunday evening, according to MCSO.

MCSO said around 8:30 p.m. that crews responded to the incident on River Road at the falls.

In an update Sunday night, the sheriff’s office identified the victim as a 37-year-old man who was a native of Loudon County. He was visiting the area from Florida at the time of the incident.

“Please pray for the family members of those involved in this tragic incident,” MCSO said.
