MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - An employee with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has been charged with DUI after a crash Saturday evening, according to Sheriff Tommy Jones.

Jones said the employee, identified as Josh Woods, was involved in a crash Saturday evening while off-duty. Jones added that he works in the Court Services Division.

Woods was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested him for driving under the influence.

“We are working to obtain additional information regarding this matter and will release updates as we receive them,” Jones said.
